Background and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Laura has been practicing for over 10 years serving youth, young adults, and families in different capacities such as: community and school settings, crisis response, and outpatient therapy. She joined LifePointe in 2021.\u00a0 Laura is experienced in supporting youth and adults in developing a healthy sense of self by treating anxiety and depression symptoms including suicidal ideation and self-harm impulses, improve social skills, impulse control, positive communication, connected relationships, and coping with stress and trauma<\/p>\n

Laura believes every person deserves compassion and understanding, and values individuals by learning of their natural strengths and applying those unique strengths and abilities to support therapeutic healing and growing emotional resilience. Through cognitive processing, mindfulness, emotion-focused interactive interventions and artistic expression, clients are active participants in their own healing and growth. Partnering with parents to support youth in emotional regulation and building connected relationships.<\/p>\n

Laura understands the pain of suicidal ideation and self-harm impulses and spent 3 years serving on the Missouri Suicide Prevention Network board as co-chair of the school suicide prevention committee.<\/p>\n
