Background and Experience
Pamela joined LifePointe Counseling LLC in June of 2019. Before LifePointe, she was working as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Mexico. She recently moved back to her hometown of St. Louis, MO where she will be counseling under the supervision of Lanny McFarland while she completes her Missouri licensing. She is passionate about collaborating with and walking alongside clients, offering insight and support during difficult times. Pamela’s approach to counseling is Multi-Disciplined and Strategic-Focused, with a strong cognitive behavioral therapy orientation. Her unique counseling framework aims to meet each client’s specific needs and equip them for healthy living.
Pamela has been a pastor’s wife for 30 years and as such has taken on many ministry roles in the church, working with people at all stages and walks of life. Before she pursued a career in counseling, Pamela taught Special Education and later became a principal in private education. In the roles of teacher and principal she worked with at-risk students and their parents to not only provide education, but help with behavior modification and parenting strategies.
